Running a store without looking at any numbers is like driving with your eyes closed — you might get somewhere, but you won't know if you're on the right road. You don't need to be a data expert to make sense of your store's performance. Here's what actually matters for a new store owner.
Orders and revenue. The most basic number, but the most important — how many orders came in, and how much did they total? Track this weekly, not just monthly, so you can spot trends early.
Best-selling products. Knowing which products your customers actually want helps you decide what to restock, what to feature on your homepage, and what to quietly retire.
Where customers drop off. If people are viewing products but not completing checkout, something in your process — pricing, shipping cost, or a confusing checkout form — may be turning them away.
Repeat customers. A customer who buys once is good; a customer who buys again is proof you're doing something right. Track how many of your orders come from returning customers versus new ones.
You don't need to check every number every day. Set aside 15 minutes once a week to review your Uddokta Software dashboard — it's usually enough to catch problems early and spot what's working.
